Recipe

Yield: 2 servings
Time: 5 minutes
Diet: Vegan

Ingredients:
2 pieces seeded whole wheat bread
4 tablespoons of hummus (2 tbsp's per piece)
1/2 an avocado
2 slices of tomato
Seasonings (optional):
Everything but the Bagel Seasoning
Salt
Pepper

Cooking Tools:
Toaster
Knife
Cutting Board
(Plate to eat on)

Instructions:
First, grab your two slices of bread and put them in the toaster.

While they are toasting cut your avocado in half and then in half again. Peal the avocado skin off. I recommend starting from the narrow point and then work your way down to the wide portion of the avocado. Once you have done so, slice the 1/4 of avocados into 4 slices each on a cutting board. Then cut 2 slices of tomato and set aside.

The toast should be done by now. Start by spreading the hummus on each piece. Then lay 4 slices of avocado on each piece. Finally, put a tomato slice on each piece and garnish with the seasonings of your choice.

Now eat up :)

Notes:
1. You can use any type of bread, I just chose seeded whole wheat bread for this.

2. I toasted my bread for 3 minutes, but my toaster may heat up bread faster or slower than yours, so I would recommend checking in on it occasionally.

3. Please note we will only be using a half of an avocado. Instead of letting the unused half go to waste, I recommend putting it face down into a Tupperware container and setting it in the fridge until next use.

4. Using a cutting board is optional. Instead, you can use the plate you are eating on.
